This data protection information describes the processing of your personal data for the use and inclusion in the SICP Network mailing list. With this data protection information, Paderborn University fulfils its obligation to provide information in accordance with Art. 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In addition, the general data protection declaration for the Paderborn University website applies to registration for the mailing list.

With regard to the other terms used, such as "personal data", "processing", "controller", "third party", etc., please refer to the definitions in Article 4 of the GDPR.

For the purpose of inclusion in the SICP Network mailing list, the following data is collected using the web registration form and stored on secure systems at Paderborn University (mandatory fields are marked with an *):

3. data transmission

As a matter of principle, we do not transfer your personal data processed by Paderborn University for the purpose of subscribing to and using the SICP Network mailing list to third parties.

If technical service providers are given access to personal data, this is done on the basis of a contract in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

4 Duration of processing/data erasure

The data processed as part of the registration for the SICP Network mailing list will be stored until you unsubscribe from the mailing list or discontinue the mailing list. 5 Your rights as a data subject

As a data subject, you can assert the rights granted to you by the GDPR at any time; these are

  • the right to information as to whether and which of your data is being processed in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, Section 12 DSG NRW;
  • the right to request the rectification or completion of data concerning you in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR
  • the right to erasure of the data concerning you in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, § 10 DSG NRW;
  • the right to demand restriction of the processing of data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR
  • the right to data portability of the data concerning you in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR

6. objection to the processing of your personal data and revocation of your consent

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1)(1)(e) of the GDPR, in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR. The right to object pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR vis-à-vis a public authority does not exist if there is a compelling public interest in the processing that outweighs the interests of the data subject or if a legal provision obliges the processing (§ 14 DSG NRW). If you wish to exercise your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, simply send an email to datenschutz@uni-paderborn.de and sauer@upb.de .

Any consent given can be revoked in whole or in part at any time without giving reasons. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future. 7 Right to lodge a complaint
