Continued growth at SICP - Software Innovation Campus Paderborn

After paiqo GmbH, mindsquare AG and Haver & Boecker OHG became members of the SICP - Software Innovation Campus Paderborn in recent months, one of the leading providers of digital infrastructures in Europe, aixit GmbH, has now joined the SICP. "Our member companies have the opportunity to intensify their collaboration with the participating scientists at Paderborn University, but also with the other companies in the SICP, to contribute their requirements to the research and development of the SICP and benefit from the results, to make their brand and profile better known within the university and to position themselves as potential employers. It also makes it much easier for our member companies to access the university's various scientific expertise," says Prof Dr Stefan Sauer, Managing Director of the SICP, explaining the reasons for membership.

Intensification of research and development activities

The company, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, has been active in the field of data centre services, cloud solutions and network infrastructures for almost 30 years. In doing so, aixit relies on a dense network of over ten data centres at various locations in Europe, providing a reliable basis for its customers' IT infrastructures. With a strong focus on security and sustainability, aixit's data centres are operated to the highest standards. The company uses 100% renewable energy and is ISO 27001-certified.

In addition, aixit is active in the carrier business as a dark fibre lighting company, providing high-performance and customised network solutions. By combining technological expertise and years of experience, aixit creates a future-proof platform for digital business processes.

"aixit is delighted to now be a member of the SICP. As an innovative provider of digital infrastructures, I see the cooperation with the SICP as a great opportunity to intensify our own activities in the field of research and development. So far, we have created innovative solutions without explicitly labelling this as "research". By participating in research projects and calls for proposals in the field of digital technologies, we want to gain new perspectives and develop further," explains Holger Grauer, Managing Partner of aixit GmbH, adding: "The exchange within the SICP network is a valuable opportunity to collaborate with other members and benefit from their experience. The cooperation with SICP member company WestfalenWIND IT and their pioneering windCORES project has shown us how relevant it is to the business to continue to drive forward sustainable technologies and how enriching an exchange about the technological challenges can be. This strengthens our commitment to working on innovative and sustainable solutions for the future within the SICP network."
