Summer party at the HNF

A special highlight in the Nixdorf100 anniversary year of the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum is the joint summer festival on Sunday, 6 July from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fürstenallee and Zukunftsmeile. From the Heinz Nixdorf Institute at the university to the HNF, bib and the FHDW to the institutes and companies on the Future Mile, there will be a colourful and attractive programme for all age groups on the lawn behind the buildings.

"Few people realise how closely the institutions on Fürstenallee are linked to Heinz Nixdorf's life's work. This makes it all the more wonderful to bring this special history to life on a day full of fun, discoveries and encounters," says HNF Division Director Dr. Christian Berg, who is already looking forward to the joint celebration. In addition to numerous activities organised by the HNF and the partner institutions, there will be four different bouncy castles, food trucks, balloon modelling and face painting for children. "We are looking forward to welcoming as many guests of all ages as possible on a day that is as entertaining as it is informative," says Berg.

Particularly attractive is the rally of the Ro-80 Club, whose members will park numerous vehicles in front of the HNF.
Guests can also look forward to a hot wire, a star boat and a selection of mobile mini pedal boats. Of course, with so many high-tech institutions, VR goggles and AI applications are a must. Visitors can also take a look inside a Diebold Nixdorf ATM.
Holli, the SC Paderborn 07 mascot, will also be visiting. Holli will be bringing along players from the professional team for an autograph session and the SCP Kids Club.

The Heinz Nixdorf Institute will use a driving simulator to demonstrate how cars drive independently and networked. Visitors can control small robots, train systems with artificial intelligence in interactive experiments or discover how robots, machines and computers work together, among numerous other offers.
At the Fraunhofer IEM stand, robots are programmed by the guests and bridges are constructed from the 3D printer at it`s OWL.
The can throwing and bungee run from S&N promise fun. Robots play against each other at the FHDW's SoccerBot. Students from bib show how games are developed. The SICP presents exciting applications from the fields of augmented and virtual reality as well as some robots.
The DRK offers informative insights into the interior of an ambulance. Paderborn University is bringing along the SprachSpielLabor and the Nao robot.
Colours are stacked in the coolMINT.paderborn school lab. The HNF will be there with its popular museum rallies and several craft tables.

There will be plenty of stalls offering ice cream, crêpes, pasta, chips, sausages, cakes and much more.

Admission to the summer festival is free and is via the HNF. You can also visit the permanent exhibition at the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum free of charge on this day.
