The IT world is changing rapidly - and with it the role of traditional system houses. What used to be a stable ecosystem of manufacturers, distributors and service providers is becoming increasingly complex, dynamic and demanding. In this new reality, it is no longer enough to simply sell and maintain products.
The trend is clear: IT is increasingly being purchased as a service rather than a product. The result? The traditional core business of many system houses - i.e. the sale, implementation and maintenance of hardware and software - is becoming less important.
How can system houses respond to this development?
Our series of events is dedicated to precisely this question. In a practice-orientated workshop, eco - Association of the Internet Industry and EuroCloud Germany bring together experts from different fields: Managed Service Providers (MSPs), manufacturers, distributors and data centre operators will share their experiences, insights and perspectives.
Central strategic questions will take centre stage:
- How can system houses expand their portfolio - for example through managed services or consulting services - to meet the changing expectations of their customers?
- What structural adjustments are necessary to ensure that organisations and teams remain fit for the future?
- Is greater specialisation the key to holding one's own against the competition - in contrast to the traditionally broad-based orientation of many system houses?
We are also looking ahead: what new opportunities are emerging beyond the classic either-or of on-premises and cloud? Technologies such as edge computing in particular open up exciting prospects for innovative business models.
Who is the Systemhaus Dialog 2023 aimed at?
- Management and division heads from medium-sized system houses
- Managed service providers and independent software vendors who want to strategically develop their IT service business further
Discussions will focus on current challenges, best practices and perspectives for the next steps.
